Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been popular in most applications in the recent time, due to its flexibility in handling complex computational problems. The applications of AI have been generally adopted by various industries, from software to hardware-based industries, in response to the Industrial 4.0. A webinar was held by UTS (https://scm.uts.edu.my/) in collaboration with IEEE CIS Malaysia chapter (https://cis.ieeemy.org/) to create awareness to the public and to promote community interests in AI research and development (R&D).
The webinar was successfully held with a total of 103 attendees.
The webinar is organised with three sessions led by three speakers. The first speaker was Dr. Kasumawati bt. Lias, a lecturer from UNIMAS, who delivered her knowledge on the background of AI in industrial and academic needs. The second speaker was Dr. Chai Kok Chin, from Neuon.AI industrial company (https://neuon.ai/), who delivered his comments and ideas on the importance of AI in the development of local industries. Lastly, the third speaker was Dr. Kerk Yi Wen, a lecturer from UKM, who delivered her knowledge concerning the importance of expert system in solving AI problems in academic research. Several interesting questions were asked by participants during the webinar regarding their interest in AI R&D to each speaker after each session. The webinar ended with a group photo session on ZOOM and feedbacks from each participant.

After Event Follow-ups
The participant lists are compiled, e-certificates are in the progress of sending, the recorded webinar video will be shared along with the e-certificates to all participants. The honorarium has been received by UTS. Due to Christmas and New Year holidays, the amount will be transferred to all speakers from UTS account on January, 2022.
