Objectives:
- To nurture the aptitude of innovation and entrepreneurship among young students through hands-on experience and exposure to art, technology and ideation and fabrication processes.
- To develop and strengthen students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, besides teamwork and presentation skills that are essential prerequisites to be successful in studies and careers.
Nine teams from various local secondary schools participated in the two-day UCTS MakerFest 2016 . During the competition, each group was given a case study whereby they are required to come up with an innovation project that could benefit longhouse residents.
