It’s great to hear that UTS had the opportunity to collaborate in organizing the NASA International Space Apps Challenge! This event is a fantastic initiative under NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, designed to inspire innovation and engage the public by utilizing open data from NASA and its space agency partners.
Hosting around 200 students from various secondary schools across Sarawak, this 2-day, 1-night hackathon at UTS provided a platform for young minds to collaborate, learn, and develop creative solutions using real-world data. The program reflects NASA’s goals of transparency, global collaboration, and open participation, empowering students to explore technology, science, and space exploration.
Such events play a crucial role in nurturing future innovators and building awareness of the possibilities within the STEM fields. Congratulations to UTS for being a part of this inspiring initiative!
