Date: 13rd December 2022
Venue: Computer Lab 3, UTS
A knowledge sharing regarding Artificial Intelligence applications and implementations was conducted at Computer Lab 3, UTS campus, Sibu. Artificial Intelligence model is generally the ability of a computing algorithm to emulate human intelligence that is supported with logical reasoning at every decision made.
The learning of an Artificial Intelligence algorithm is generally called the machine learning. A machine learning is a learning method or procedure that self-organise data samples onto a number of nodes or neurons. These nodes contains information of the learnt data set that can be interpreted into knowledge for predictions or decision making. Implementation of an Artificial Intelligence model in an Engineering application is generally improved the effectiveness of traditional programming solutions in terms of processing power and complexity. To achieve that, fundamental knowledge and technical understanding to the Artificial Intelligence model are essential to interpret the results given by the model.
The knowledge sharing organised by the School of Computing and Creative Media (SCM), UTS, is conducted by an invited speaker (Dr. Xavier Chee) from Swinburn University, Sarawak. In this sharing session, he presented his past experiences and expertises in implementing Artificial Intelligence model in his research works. Besides, he also provided an online worksheet for the participants to have a hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence. There are more than 20 participants took part in this session. They found that the session is useful for their learning curve and it was a great exploration as a beginner in Artificial Intelligence applications.
Here are some photos of the session.
