SCM Students won Second Runner Up at VR Hackathon 2018

Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology enabler for Industrial 4.0 which is set to change the world in the near future. In view of this, a VR Hackathon was hosted by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Multimedia University and CLOVR. The hackathon aims to serve as a platform to discover talented VR developers and promote the innovation in solutions based on VR technology. In order to expose UCTS students to enhance their knowledge and skills in the area of VR, School of Computing and Creative Media had sent out three students, namely Teo Boon Chen, Raymond Tie Jin Hieng, and Dennis Wong Chu Ho, to take part in the hackathon. The team developed a data visualization tool for the purpose of town planning and won a second runner up award with a prize money of RM 1,000.
